A DOCTRINE OF DEVILS
What Does Scripture Define As A
Doctrine of Devils?
A general consideration of the definition and description of Doctrines of Devils As Given in Scripture.
The most simple, direct, definition of "doctrine of devils" is; a doctrine created by a devil. This definition, then, would mean that specific doctrine was not the fruit of the mind of man.
False doctrine is just one way Satan makes war against God's People. This war of false doctrine against God's Doctrine can be followed from Genesis, though God's Word and the history of the dispersal of Judah and the Church, through the Book of Revelation, through documents, letters, newspapers and history books to this very day.
The first Doctrine of Devils is recorded in Genesis 3:4, "You will not surely die..." The lies, temptations, deceptions, delusions and Doctrines of Devils can be followed, then, to Mark 1:13, to Revelation 13 and up to the Last Day, the Day of the Lord.
Satan was released from the pit (Rev 20:1-7) and his war against mankind and God's People has included the Doctrine of Devils known as "the rapture" and the rebirth of the Jewish fable of the renewal of David's physical kingdom -- the "millennial reign of Christ on this earth."
A FALSE DOCTRINE MAY NOT BE A DOCTRINE OF DEVILS
A false doctrine, simply, is one which is in error: An Erroneous Doctrine. This need not include, or be based on, any intent to deceive God's People. In fact, over the course of the last 1900 years there are examples of change and growth of the "Establishment of Religion" known as "Christianity" where past errors have been corrected, and, in the process, new errors made. Making an error in an effort to discover God's Truth is not evidence of Satanic involvement; it is, simply, proof that we are human and do err.
That someone has made an error in doctrine which is not Satanic is most often demonstrated in that, when shown the error, they will correct their error.
DEVILS DO NOT ACCEPT CORRECTION
On the other hand, the false prophets of the doctrine of devils refuse to accept correction, indeed, they cannot comprehend Truth when it is presented to them. Satan, Devils and false prophets, rather than accept correction and Truth, will lie to defend their lying doctrine; both against God's Word and the messenger who presents them with evidence of their lies. Indeed, rather than accept correction and admit to error, these servants of Hell will become angry and ridicule, slander, hate -- and murder -- the bearer of Truth.

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." 2 Peter 1:20
*A doctrine of devils is a private interpretation by and of the devil.
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Prov 3:5
*A doctrine of devils is a devil 'leaning' on its own understanding.
"Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." Titus 1:14
*A doctrine of devils is a conversion of pagan or Jewish fables into God's Word by the devil.
"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isa 8:20
*Every doctrine of devils is a contradiction of God's Word by the devil.
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils ..." 1 Timothy 4:1-2
*A doctrine of devils is a seduction by the devil of those who are willing to depart from the faith due to their own lusts or fears.
Paul first describes these people who will be deceived by lies; "they shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits," and, "they will not endure sound doctrine; they will have itching ears, and will hire [false] teachers to tell them what they lust to hear; and turn aside unto fables. 2 Tim 4:3
Paul defines a "doctrine of devils" as "lies and hypocrisy." Then he describes these teachers of doctrines of devils as having no conscience, or not capable of having a guilty conscience.
Paul goes on to give two examples: forbidding to marry, and, to abstain from meats.
2 Cor. 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
False teachers, these false prophets of the doctrine of devils, can pretend to be ministers of light or apostles of Christ while they are in fact servants of Hell. These liars tickle men's ears with fables, seductive private interpretations and rational sounding commandments of men. When these false teachers begin to lie about God, lie about His Word and His People, they reveal, then, to those who love truth, that they are preaching a Doctrine of Devils.
Jesus warned that these false prophets would come, that they would attempt to deceive the Elect. Mat, 24:5, 11, 24, Rev 13:14
2 Thes 2:11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." Those who believe false doctrines have believed a lie.
Eph 5:6 "Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience." Those who teach the lies and false doctrine will receive the plagues of the seven vials of God's wrath in full measure.
To recognize a lie, you must first have some ability to recognize the truth: if you cannot or will not believe the truth, you will believe the lies!
Those who love Truth will search for it; those who don't won't. Acts 17:11-12.
